After a year and a half of very hard work, I am very proud to announce today the opening of the Wearables Store in conjunction with the 2015 Wearable World Congress event in San Francisco starting on May 19th!  It's very excited to represent this emerging technology industry and all the new, exciting, products that are coming with it.  Where do we even start?!?!  How about at the beginning....

In January of 2014, I was flying home from my 10th pilgrimage to the annual C.E.S. (Consumer Electronics Show) in Las Vegas and while on the plane I started to read a post-show summary article in the NY Times about all of these new type of products called "Wearables" or "Things of the Internet".  These products sounded so cool and innovative, completely cutting-edge in their feature-rich scope for consumers and technology.  The article mentioned that all the big electronic companies were developing and soon launching their own type of wearable of products, along with many other new companies that were getting funded via different crowd-funding programs and websites.  These products were ranging from smart watches to fitness and GPS trackers, to even smart light bulbs!  I was hooked on the concept of how these products could change the world for the better and make our lives easier and safer.  

And then it hit me...why hasn't anyone taken all of these great new products and aggregated them into one niche, specialty website that ONLY sells, educates, and promotes wearable technology products and Internet of Things?  That was the inspiration moment for me and when the proverbial 'light-bulb' went off inside my head. 

So it was born on that plane ride - the Wearables Store, and after a lot of hard work and inspiration by too many people to name, it has manifested into this website. I hope you like the realization of this idea to offer consumers a one-stop shop for any type of wearable product.  Our goal is to offer you the greatest, coolest, and most innovative products in the wearable and Internet of Things marketplace and competitive prices.  We will bring you all the products from traditional electronic companies, but also the cutting-edge ones that you may never have heard from that are just getting to the marketplace. And we will provide for you industry news, in-depth product reviews and guides, blogs and so much more.  I want this to be your go-to place all wearable products and information.  If we don't have something that you want, let us know as we greatly value your feedback and suggestions.  If you buy something and like it or not, please tell us.  We want to know what you think.

Google Glass - the revolutionary yet troubled first generation eye-wear product developed by the search giant Google, was destined to be the break-out consumer product defining the new wearables technology / IOT industry in 2012 when it was first announced.  Unfortunately, it didn't achieve it's market objectives, but was ahead of it's time and will be remembered as a truly revolutionary product. But to it's credit, Google Glass inspired other entrepreneurs to think differently and really stretch their imagination - and resources, to develop new cutting edge wearables.  We're just glad to hear it looks like it's back from Google in a new version and update.

Since our launch, we have been selling MUSE brain sensing products on our website.   We love this product because it truly does help train your brain to relax, focus and meditate.  Muse just participated in a group study and experiment, and what they found out is by using real-time brainwave feedback (sometimes called neurofeedback) it can result in learning effects within one minute!

CNET put out today a very good smart watch and fitness tracker buying guide - which reviews some of the products we feature at the Wearables Store.  It gives excellent quality information for any body interested in purchasing a smart watch or fitness tracker.

It's been a whirlwind couple of weeks and things have been moving very fast since our launch! 

Personally, I'd like to thank all of our new customers and early supporters of the Wearables Store.  The response to the website has been overwhelming, we are very thankful and appreciative for everyone who helped make it happen.  We work hard to bring you the latest and greatest technology products and we are very excited that you've liked what you've seen so far.

Since the website went live in mid-June, the company participated at CEWEEK NY - the East Coast’s premier electronic showcase and trade show on June 24-25, 2015 (see picture of our booth).  We had an incredible response to our concept as the electronic industry’s first niche, specialty and independent e-commerce website selling Wearable technology and Internet of Things (IOT) products. 

It was great to be in the middle of so many great new brands and their cutting-edge products. And to see at the show some of the leading brands we have already on the site like Beddit, Muse, and Aftershokz. Deals were made and in the upcoming weeks we are proud to announce that we will be bringing on many of them to the site just for you.  Here is a list of three new brands you can expect to see on the site soon.  And we will keep you posted on many more.
